Presently, I am running conventional lionel engines on my DCS.  The engines run, but the bell or whistle will inadvertanly come on (numerous times) while the engine is going around the track.  The wires are connected to Variable 1 and also Fixed 1.  How can I get this issue resolved?  Thanks.  Daviddp

David,

What are you using to power the Lionel engines? If they're on a variable channel, are you using aa transformer as input and, if so, is the throttle on the transformer full-on or set midway?

To be honest, this doesn't sound at all like a DCS issue, unless you're feeding a variable channel with an already chopped-waveform transformer power source.

Regardless, additional details would be helpful.

DavidDP,

I totally agree with Barry, power your TIU thru Aux with a RS power pack, set TIU channels to fixed.  If you are using the Z4K, set the handles for 18V, and run the engines thru the Z4K Side Receiver, control with the DCS Hand Held Remote and your Conventional Engines will run smooth as glass, in fact better than they ever have before, with all operational controls available.
