which engine is it exactly? Some 3/2 models didn't have their wheels tied together when in 3 rail mode.

I'm just trying to see why this one engine sees something different than your other engines. Maybe a wire has come off inside the engine at this 3/2 switch? If it's a steamer, is there any tether problems?

It's hard to know what's going on when you're not actually there. There's a lot of info missing to help.

R U using more than one TIU? What's the power source to each? etc.

As Joe stated if you do a signal strength test on track one and see what the offending engine reads.  If low it could ba an issue on Track 2 but not track 1.

Engine wheels being cleaned can help, also look at pickup rollers.

To test Joe's issue about polarity and ground on 3-2 engines, turn engine around to see if it now works on Track 2.

I will try this stuff this afternoon
Like I said it works perfect on track 1 anywhere
Does not work on track two anywhere
Fifteen other locks ps2 and PS3 work on both tracks perfect

U need to give us an idea of the #? Is it ps2 5volt?

I laugh when guys want help, but getting info is like pulling their teeth!

Put jumper clips onto the rails and clip them to a pickup roller and a spot on the truck block. If it does nothing, reverse the leads connected to the engine. If it responds, then Track #2 has the DCS hot in the wrong place and should be reversed. Proto-2 engines were polarity-sensitive -- i.e., the DCS signal needed to come in from the center rail only. Proto-3 engines don't care.

If I swap the red and black wires now on track two the trains all work perfect
But this is wrong
Red is hot at least it was
I cannot cross over from one track too another so the tiu has a problem any one know what it is
Everything is wired by the book and worked perfect until last night
Is there a way to fix tiu
Maybe a diode failed
I don't know
Should I send it back

I don't think anything is broken, just some type of wiring issue.  lets find out what your power supply is and how do you have it hooked up.

I'm guessing track 1 is fixed 1 and track 2 is fixed 2,  What powers each track (channel) Are the 2 track connected via a crossover ?

Red always to center rail . There is a chance  one of your power supplies may be out of phase with the other one,,,,  If you have a volt meter, measure the voltage between the center rail of track 1 and the center rail of track 2... yep! center rail to center rail There shouldn't  be any  voltage or  very little, If you get around 35 to 40 the power supplies are out of phase.
