I have a Lionel Grand Central Station around which I planning a taxi loop using Superstreets. I'm also planning a very short (3 feet) straight Superstreets dual lanes approaching the front of Grand Central which cross and are perpendicular to the taxi loop. The taxi loop is self reversing since it incorporates 2 Superstreets 'Y"s. I'm using an EZ Streets Taxi which performs OK if the speed is right. I'm thinking of using two Trolleys for the dual straight section. Bump and Go trolleys will need a control system to avoid collision with the taxi. Also, they are not that great at slow speed which is desired due to the short run. I was wondering if MTH Brill Trolleys with Proto Sounds 2.0 would work ? They might provide slow speed ? I'm not sure if the DCS trolley station stop feature would work since there would only be two stops in an Out and Back route ? Also Barry's book states only one route can be programmed. Is that one route per trolley or one route per DCS system ? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If they have Station Stops, yes, they would work.

Yes, it will work fine.
Also Barry's book states only one route can be programmed. Is that one route per trolley or one route per DCS system ?
That's one route per trolley/subway, not one route per DCS system.
This and a whole lot more is all in MTH’s “The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition", available for purchase as an eBook or a printed book at MTH's web store!
Thanks Barry !! The MTH Brill Trolleys with Proto Sounds 2.0 have Station Stops. Apparently to program and/or operate you drive to the 1st stop and start the sequence. Since my 1st stop is also my last stop on the Out and Back the trolley would need to reverse next. Will this work or will the trolley be looking for more stops ?

Just follow the instructions in my book exactly and it should work fine.
Another question Barry - The instruction booklet for the MTH Brill Trolley with Proto Sounds 2.0 (30-5106-1) calls for a sequence of Bell & Horn beeps to program/operate. Your book provides a more modern approach for programming/operation. Is the instruction booklet just old and out of date and your guide applies or does the Bell/Horn beeps have to be used ?
The manual describes use of station stops under conventional control. My book discusses use of station stops under DCS control.
You should follow the instructions in my book, not in the trolley's manual.
Thanks Barry, I'm going to give it a go. I've found one on-line, so the next stop is purchase.
