I spent some time yesterday upgrading and installing the DCS WiFi system at The Imperial Train Company here in Pittsburgh with Victor, Rich, and Steve. They are all set to do demos and show the App. I will be there Saturday's helping.

A couple of questions so I know we are experiencing and relaying the correct info.

Speed indication between 2 devices accessing the same engines did not track but control Was parallel. I assume this is normal but wanted to confirm.

Also the premium version due in April adds TMCC control for Legacy and TMCC engine and even possibly Legacy control of Legacy.

Much like the DCS remote one must add the engines into the App. It doesn't auto fill in the roster. Is there any way of cloning between 2 user apps?

Does MTH have a bullet point sheet that we can discuss with customers?  Does anyone have suggestion for bullet points if not?  I hope to download Barry's latest book but would really like to have some discussion points.

Thanks for for the info ahead of time.

As I said, I will be at The Imperial Train Company on Saturdays. We can show the App and the WiFi In action. I can also upgrade your DCS system to version 5. I would call in advance as my hours at the shop vary with my work schedule. But from here until Christmas I will be there on Saturdays.

We all found the setup easy to install and pretty straight forward to get up and running. Connection and control was simple and we were up and running in 10 minutes after we upgraded the TIU and Remote.

Marty,

That's correct. It's just like using 2 DCS Remotes.

Also the premium version due in April adds TMCC control for Legacy and TMCC engine and even possibly Legacy control of Legacy.

That's my understanding, as well, from MTH R&D.

Control of Legacy engines in Legacy mode has been mentioned and is a very real possibility. Keep in mind that Lionel has touted that 3rd parties are being licensed to use Legacy codes and that MTH is a partner with Lionel via Lionel Corporation tinplate products.

Not at present. That feature/function is also planned fro the Pro version of the app.

Does MTH have a bullet point sheet that we can discuss with customers?  Does anyone have suggestion for bullet points if not?  I hope to download Barry's latest book but would really like to have some discussion points.

The complete user guide for the WIU, expected to be a download from MTH's web page for the WIU by the time the device itself is generally available, will detail the installation and setup of the device. I don't know if (or really expect) that it will detail the use of the app, as well.

As far as a "bullet point" list is concerned, a quick search of MTH's web site turned up this.

Of course, The DCS O Gauge Companion 3rd Edition contains everything that you would need to discuss with customers regarding the DCS App's installation and use.

Everything that you need to know about DCS, including the DCS App, is all in MTH’s “The DCS Companion 3rd Edition", available for purchase  from many fine OGR advertisers and forum sponsors, or as an eBook or a printed book at MTH's web store!
