What are some of the deals that people are getting at York? Personally, I made a couple of major scores. I picked up a rebuilt postwar ZW type R transformer for $150.00 in the White Hall. The second score was a Williams scale Hudson with bell and whistle for $399.00 from Charles Ro in the Orange Hall.

On to find more deals.

Prices are great on older PS2 new and used Premier steam and Lionel pre-Legacy scale steam.Older used brass scale steam from Weaver and Williams is at bargain basement prices I'm seeing 60-70% less than what they cost new.Saw some good deals on older 3rd rail brass. Folks are willing to deal if you pay cash.

I never considered "hot deals" to be the norm at York. You have 2 kinds of dealers. Many seem to like displaying their stuff and socializing. The others are there to actually sell stuff (aka get rid of it). Since I'm primarily looking for "upscale" 1:43 model cars, I dash to a certain dealer first thing at noon on Thursday. Yesterday I got a 1951 Buick Le Sabre Motorama show car that retails for $225. for $75. Last Oct. I got a model that usually goes for $80.-$100. on eBay for $30. from the same dealer.

No wonder there were only two left when I got there on Friday.  I'm definitely going to change my schedule so I arrive on Wednesday from now on.

Yes, and I believe fellow forum member Marty Fitzhenry told me he scooped up ten of them!  Now there's a man who likes his GG1s!
