Hello all.

After about 38 years in the train industry I have decided that it is time for me to step away from Lionel and start my next career in real estate, today is my last day. No replacement for this position has been announced.

It has been my pleasure to have served the railroading community for this long. I have known many of you for years and some not so long but I thank you all for the challenges, opportunities, laughter and camaraderie throughout these many years. I will still look in to the forum from time to time to see what is happening.

Lionel and electric trains in general will always be in my blood as it is with many of you but it is time to "retire" and start something new.

I wish nothing but the best to you all.

Dean,

I Appreciate all the good things you have done for us over the years, and everyone else who you have worked with in the hobby. You did a tough job with grace and good humor.

Thank you.

I thought Ed was irreplaceable? I know I always have a great conversation with him when I see him at York or elsewhere.

Dave...note I said I was just kidding....sort of an inside joke so to speak....

This Lionel “Customer” always felt well “Serviced” by you and your team.  I frequently buy trains that have issues or problems knowing that you would have a the parts and/or technical information (along with the insights of this website) needed to fix them.  The times I couldn’t fix them or were under warranty you fixed them up and got them right back to me.  Thanks for what you did and for the real “Legacy” you leave behind.

Kind of figured, just expressing how much I like Ed.

Dean, I’m sure going to miss you, but I think a career in Realestate will be a really fun future. I will say I was in sales for 55 years, everyday was a New Opportunity to make someone happy. I retired from Honda, my most fun sales opportunity. Your one of the best repair technicians I’ve dealt with at Lionel. They will miss you as will the associates that you managed. Good luck and may God Bless your new sales adventure. Your Tennessee Connection, Leapin Larry

Dean,

I am sorry to hear that you left Lionel.  Thank you so very much for all the terrific assistance you provided me and many times through that my customers as well over the years.  It was a pleasure getting to know and work with you.  I wish you the very best of continued success in your new real estate venture.

Dave
