Is anyone else looking for this popular engine to complete their Polar Express train? I've been looking for over 6 months and find it strange that the heavy weight passenger cars and tender can be found, but not the engine. I've been in contact with Lionel with the hopes that they will make another run of this engine. I have called all the major dealers and they get weekly inquiries on this engine. Let me know who else is looking? If someone sees one forsale at a meet--please get me buying info. Thanks

If you can find the tender, you may want to give Lionel's Customer Service Center in Ohio a call. At their open house event this past Summer, they had two of the engines for sale (no tenders). They may still have them.

The Electric Train Outlet in St Louis has one with the 6-11204 tender. Not cheap.
It took me a long time to find mine, and I got lucky and snagged one on eBay for what I thought was a good price.
It should be no surprise that this is an extremely popular engine. The Berkshire from Lionel is a wonderful engine with great sounds and Legacy, but add to this the popularity of the PE movie with the law of supply and demand and you have the scarce current market conditions. Put yourself in the place of someone who has one, would you want to sell it knowing what a great and highly in demand this engine is? Probably not.
I have one and it is always for sale at the right price! It is my favorite engine though so the price will have to be pretty high!
I know it's not the hallowed orange/blue version...
But Sunset 3rd Rail is yet including the PM Berk as part of their future plans...

Haven't communicated with Scott to know whether the 1225...and a Polar Express lettered version of the tender...would be on the list of options.
So much to do....so many choices....so much market uncertainty...so it goes.

And it is not Legacy RS, sorry great of detail that 3rd Rail has, legacy rail sounds blows it away.
Sorry I cannot give you any leads but I can tell you that I have the loco and both tenders. When we run that train for our guests Holiday time we get lots of Oohs And Ahs.
Keep searching.

Since the #1225 Berkshire has been rather elusive these days at "reasonable" prices, I decided to pick up Lionel's #6-11304. It's C&O #3025, which I plan to renumber as 1225 someday. I already have the PE scale tender, and it's an exact match in size to those that come with the Lionel 2-10-4 locomotives.
Admittedly it's not "100% accurate", but most casual observers would never know the difference! As an added bonus, you may even find the 2-10-4's on sale now at some dealers, since they've been out for a couple years. It also has the cylinder steam chest smoke effect, which is a nice touch too.

I’m looking for the 6-11204 PM tender, anyone know where I can get one?

I've purchased a few "hard to find" items from these folks in the past. I had no disappointments and shipping was really fast. I'd call to verify that the tender is still in stock and order via phone.

The tender shows up on the bay once in awhile. If you don't mind the polar express sounds you could get the PE tender and purchase the PM Shell directly from Lionel. Purchase the one to the TMCC model, as it is exactly the same but much cheaper.
Thanks guys
