Oh my gosh, I can't believe it. How funny, and sad at the same time.

I just made conductor too

Glad to see the titles gone.

Perhaps one day the titles will be back. They took them away before, and they came back once. We must enjoy these perks while they last.

The next thing to go should be the community ranking nonsense.  The forum software can't display useful statistics like the number of times a thread has been viewed, but the software designers concoct silly algorithms that magically rank folks based on how many times they post or like topics.    Really meaningful.

Either way, lets be consistent pick one or the other and stick with it.

Perhaps there is a legal issue with giving forum members titles. If we get a title, does that imply that we work for OGR or for a railroad? I know its all in good fun but in todays world people will claim that they were being led on and will sue for just about anything.

Oh my I'm just a MEMBER, just like the real world!

Doesn't matter much to me!  Even if I have to drive spikes it's still nice to converse with folks who are like minded with trains in common!

I highly doubt there is or was any legal issue.  

I think people were just taking them too seriously.  No loss as far a I'm concerned.

But John, what about my ego?

I can GUARANTEE that the titles will NOT be back.
