I just heard a traffic report on a radio station I listen to via iHeart Radio, 590 The Answer, out of San Bernardino/Riverside.
They report that Cajon Blvd is shut down between Devore Road and Glen Helen Parkway because of a derailment. About a dozen cars have derailed and there are paint and fuel spills involved.

Note, this report contradicts the previous one. The first report stated it was a northbound train. This report states that they confirmed with BNSF that the train originated in Barstow and was southbound towards San Berdoo.
Thanks for the heads up Nick. I grew up in that area and know it well. There literally used to be nothing out there. Now somewhat built up.

Big Fedex facility, adjacent to the derailment site. It has been evacuated according to reports. I'm in Newnan, GA, so everything I've conveyed is from local news and traffic reports.
Roger that, Nick. It's now mostly distribution and tilt ups. No idea yet as to cause?

Hey John,
I've got nothing new. I spent the last couple of hours doing yard work. It's been my first day off without rain in a long time here.
I've been watching local news... big mess but a managable hazmat scene. First responders on top of it. Fix and clean first order of business. Needless to say, could have been way worse.

That was quick work. With the backlog of trains, it must look like a Lionel set on the open tracks.
They hustle. It's one of the most heavily used sections of the "Santa Fe"!
After watching those airhead reporters on the local news videos, I am reminded once again why I no longer watch airhead reporters on local news videos. 
Journalism is dead.
Really, they can clean up even serious derailments pretty quickly and get trains running again these days.

Umm, no that's not exactly 100% accurate. The 2nd main was just opened today. The third.... still working on it.
They are not videos, just photos from live footage right after the derailment.
