Just FYI, there probably won't be any new Notch 6 podcasts for a few months. Apparently Derek had a domestic accident leading to fractures in his right leg and left arm and is largely immobile at present, although home from the hospital. Details on his Facebook page. I'm sure he'd appreciate some good wishes as he recuperates.

Recuperate quickly, Derek!
Thanks guys! Long story short tried to fly off a ladder in my new shop and took a 13 foot fall and landed on the concrete. Dislocated left shoulder, shattered left elbow, fractured right and left hip, and broken rib. I was VERY lucky. This could have been much worse. Earned myself some new titanium hardware in my elbow and hip.
Keeping this on a train related topic, Notch 6 will NOT miss any shows like I originally thought. We got out a super short Christmas show on Christmas Eve. They literally drug me upstairs to the studio. I talked to Ryan at Lionel today and we have a plan in place for 2019 V1 catalog show in January and as soon as I can do stairs on my own, we'll pick back up with Jack (Hotwater) as planned.
Thanks again for the warm wishes. It's been an interesting few weeks, but I'm on the mend.
Get better soon Derek.
Oh my, so sorry to hear this. Get well soon. I enjoy your work The interview with Jack was very interesting and enjoyable and I would be interested in hearing more in a follow up interview.

Derek,
Do get well, in addition to your new "titanium" parts, have your doctors install a "legacy chip." Just think, your body will be able to operate via the remote or even with the popular "Lionchief Bluetooth APP."

Only if Dave and Jon will program it with quillable yelling for use with my kids.

Wow, ditto. Think I'll stay on the carpet with trains instead of tending to the "honey do" list. Best wishes for a fast and full recovery.
