January 22, 2025 ... Mark, I like helping whenever I can. I miss teaching and helping students.
The last two days I have been painting another figure pose I call "Sexy Woman". When Preiser paints this figure, her skirt is very, very short and her top allows more to show than customary today. The figure is better suited for a dark corner of a local tavern, rather than being visible riding on a passenger train. I lengthen the skirt but leave the top close to the way Preiser paints this figure. She is often put in a conversation group with the man turned to his left, hand raised, and legs crossed. They are often talking across the aisle.
I painted 77 "Sexy Woman" figures in the last two days in six different clothing colors. The hair will be painted in at least three shades of flat yellow tint, Hull Red, and Red Brown. I may also use flat black for hair if the color is not glossy, a common occurrence with flat black paint.
I am painting all 77 "Sexy Woman" blanks at one time to speed up the process by repetitive steps. The painting is faster, but more tedious than doing different people in one night. The hair is the last color to be painted. Here are some pictures in the last two days.
Sincerely, John Rowlen
