Interesting, I wondered too! Can't imagine a big interest although over the years I have seen neat stuff done, especially with the stone granary! But Korber, Ameritowne? I'm there!
I thought about my granary bashed into a water mill, but l had already posted photos of it on here, as had others of similar projects, as that seems to be a popular bash. So l kissed it off
I entered the MTH Public Works building I turned into a passenger station. It'll be interesting to see some of the submissions. There's a lot of talent out there.
I'll be entering a horse in this race as well. I'm eager to see how it goes. Wish there were more building contest like this.
This is gonna sound like sour grapes, but l went to considerable effort to provide a number of photo packages of various scenes from my layout, a lot of close-ups of activity in two different towns, and the winner was a boring, common scene of a certain brand of loco and and cars, running around a barely sceniced curve, almost as a catalog cover. Runner-ups followed that theme, with no creativity l could make out, and unlike here, where an MTH item, logically, is required, that brand was not specified. I have seen a whole lot of efforts on here that should have won THAT contest. So l could not work up much enthusiasm for another.
