Would anyone happen to know if the Pennsy ever employed the 0-6-0 switchers in short commuter passenger service? I have a recollection of seeing a picture of one but perhaps my memory isn't accurate.

Photos of a B6 pulling two P70 coaches in one of Stauffer's books. Do not know whether it was a revenue run. All railroads used switchers to reposition passenger cars.

I seriously doubt it, unless they were sent to bail out a broken down locomotive. 0-6-0's are generally rough riders and don't have the speed to maintain a commuter schedule, plus there's less water and coal capacity.

Never say never. PRR did have some short brabchlines. A 0-6-0 on level track might be the loco. Thing could run in reverse.
