I have just started a new O-gauge railroad in October 2015, and I have had to return twelve (12) of my new Lionel Legacy engines for repair.  Both of my new 990 Remotes were just repaired by Lionel and must now be sent back to be RE-REPAIRED.  Is anyone else having to send new engines for service?  Lionel says I am the only one having problems. Is this true?  I have returned: five ES44AC for wind screen and air hose damage, two NYC ESE J3a for new boards and bent pilot axles, two Pennsylvania M1a for board and re-programming issues, one Pennsylvania Turbine #8200 for smoke issues, one SP Cab Forward #4294 for pinched wires that shorted my new ZW-L, and one ATSF Northern that did not have a battery cable (supposedly the factory forgot to put them in) .  I also had to return two new sound station diners for sparking rear trucks. Four more passenger cars are going back for sparking rear trucks, pinched wires, paint damage, and broken roof vertical posts for NYC ESE Observation.  All engines and passenger cars were purchased from Lionel dealers.  Am I really the only person having trouble as Lionel says?  Sincerely, John RowlenDSCN1187

I suspect they have the other side of the story.  Everyone has issues otherwise there wouldn't be a customer service department.  I have a hard time digesting that they said "your the only one having problems" when they're starting to turn away non warranty repairs for in warranty repairs only.  You've probably have had more issues than most.  In the last 10 years I've return 3 items to Lionel for repair.  I would say you are having an unusually high amount of items for repair.  I would also say though you're not the only one needing repairs.
