I finally received my LCCA 150th Anniversary Civil War Generals after waiting forever and they turned out to be fragile plastic models which would not last under normal railroading conditions! The TEXAS version has a motor that is cogging even after I tried breaking it in.
The wood load in the tenders is a shiny plastic fiasco which I cannot wait to Dullcoat.
The smokestacks have 2 annoying Phillips head screws which plastic model putty and some paint may hide, but EW!
But the Railsounds are good and the Seuthe smoke units are quite realistic.
Does anyone else share my humble opinion about these tribute to an historic event?
