Traingineer's finished up another residential layout that will be dismantled in our Dallas, TX studio this week and installed locally. Should take about 3 to 4 days and the best news of all is our Traintastic Customer is so thrilled with the results, he is talking about having us design/fabricate/install another layout to be viewed by the PUBLIC in Big Spring, TX. Now that will be Traintastic!!!!

Here's a video I just uploaded on YouTube before the final client walk-through, enjoy!

Happy Tracks!

Dorcie,

Looks great and impressive! OOC...Approximately how large are the modules/sections and what kind of connectors are you using to electrically interface the modules together? (....or does the whole table fit into one giant transport)

Thanks! Traingineers use wire chases and Euro Block Connectors that all go to the control panel/shelf. I'll take pictures tomorrow when they start dismantling.

Very impressive in both features and artistic detail.  I especially like how w/ any TrainWorx custom layout that's been featured by @Traindame, anyone can find some valuable tip, technique or inspiring idea that can be applied to one's more modest home layout.  It's also nice to see that high-end custom layouts also follow that practice of our more humble home and basement layouts that feature tributes to personal/family accomplishments that are meaningful to the owner.  Model Railroading provides joy for everyone.

Thx for sharing, just curious are the trains yours or the clients?

Question: I know you told me you use dry floral foam for making mountains and hills.

Do you use flat sheets or multiple thicker blocks?

Thank you

No actually we do not use dry floral foam. We use a product called Trymer 2000 and it is sold in large buns that we carve and sculpt to create our scenic mountains
