Train Master 860 leaving the yard at BDSME.
Hotshot Freight HB-9 crossing bridge at restricted speed after heavy 24 hour rainfall looking for washout's.
Pete...great videos. Who is the REA car made by?.....Love that Pocono also.
Chris
Who made that Knobel's reefer? I went there all the time as a kid.
Where is the club located?
Love the Pocono! I did not realize that 2 rail versions of that engine had smoke. Is this a feature that the model comes equipped with? Or is this a feature an aftermarket add on?
Steve
chris, the REA car was made by weaver models.
wowak, the 3 knoebels cars were made by weaver models.
steve, the club is in bethlehem pa. www.bdsme.org there is HO upstairs, and O scale
2 rail, 3 rail, S scale, and On30 downstairs.
The entire train is Weaver Models...
nice TM---cls or mth?
The bell on the Trainmaster sounds similar to early PS2 diesels that I've heard - kind of 'dead' with no resonance at all. Is this prototypical of some bells?
We had Mike's handsome 1996 NYC Hudson with PS1 and it had a really nice bell, clear with plenty of ambiance.
Both the Pocono and the FM Train Master sound like MTH sound systems. The Pocono also sounds like it is set for two chuffs per revolution.
brad,
the train master is a mth premier scale wheels for 2 rail, has proto 2.0.
the pocono is a weaver models brass with proto 2.0 installed.
Thanks DL&W Pete,
For answering that question. When I saw the smoke output of that Pocono, I knew that it wasn't a stock Weaver 2 rail engine. May I ask who performed the installation of MTH's Proto 2 in that model?
Steve
steve,
I had it done through jason's train shop, but I had three major problems after I received it.
1. smoke unit was not secured by a bracket, the person tried to glue it.
2. sound speaker was taped to the top inside of the tender shell.
3. installed wrong sound package and chuff rate.
I fixed the smoke unit problem myself, then drilled holes in the tender floor and moved speaker to where it should of been. Now I need to find someone to change the sound package.
the two switches in the tender opening are not labeled, and I will look for someone else to do my next install if I need too.
Pete,
Nice videos and layout. I think what you are showing with the smoke and sound is refreshing in 2 rail 0. Keep it up.
