Do the Doors Open on the Legacy SD40-2? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Hi:

I own a Lionel 6-34777 Norfolk and Western SD40-2 #6109. No matter how hard I try, I CAN NOT get the doors open. It appears as if they do, as there is a seam that around the door frame, and the there looks to be hinges. If they do open, anybody have anybody suggestions?

Yes.

I just checked mine, and they both open (well, only the fireman's side door would actually

open, but the other one was merely balky, and I didn't force it). I never open the doors

on a loco, anyway.
