Just want to know what anyone does with their MTH club boxcar. Should I leave it alone or make it a candidate for the custom paint and decal route? They are not collectible (at least to me) They are decent looking as is. Does anyone actually run it or does it just collect dust? Mine was given to me.

No question about it. That butt ugly thing would be first in line at the paint shop.
Mine was given to me.
A good candidate for re-gifting if there ever was one,
Keep paintin' kids! Every time you repaint one it increases the value of mine! About now mine should be worth at least FIVE BUCKS!!!!!!!
I have no interest in "special" cars like this. I would bash it unless I found someone willing to trade for something equally bash-able. My grandfather did have some, but didn't really collect them, but would buy and display them just to show active support for his clubs. Like buying a flag, flower, or whatever from a cause, it was more like a donation with a small prize attached.
Hi Has anyone told you your avatar/picture is a spitting image of John Major the ex UK prime minister?
Well, regardless of it you are an ex-Prime Minister masquerading as a three-rail enthusiast or not: it's your car, so do what you want with it. There is no special value to it as a collector's item and it isn't that attractive - not to run a lot. So it is time to get out the paint.

Sweet someone finally figured it out. Kudos to you. Actually there is comfort in anonymity and I wont release a picture of myself.

Yes well It is rather risky to disclose your personal photo on the interweb these days. Well I will try my best to sully his good name.
