I know the pictures are not great and I can get better if needed. But these have no marks on them and I would be very interested in knowing their origin.
Thank you!

What gauge? Almost looks like a crane and a rail-based yarder... maybe for logging. This like "Guess that Tool" on Yankee Workshop.
It is a bit bigger than O, so it may be standard. But I haven't had the chance to put it on some rails to be sure yet. But I was thinking it was a crane and a post driver of some sort.
Are they made from wooden frames? They appear to be Lionel 2 7/8 gauge flatcars like this derrick. I am simply going from the couplers and the frame btw. Not my image btw. It could also be standard gauge. To me, it appears as if your items are a mix of this Derrick and some homemade items. I could be going in the wrong direction, and please correct me if I am.
The cars are all metal, I want to say cast iron (but I am no expert). But any input is greatly appreciated.
Could you get some photos in clearer light of the trucks, frame, and Derrick arms?
They are made by "Arcade Manufacturing" of Freeport, Illinois. 1920s. They represent a pile driver and a derrick crane. From what I can tell, there is very little on the internet about these specific toys, but the company made coffee grinders and various tools as well as some interesting toys.
