Yesterday FedEx dropped off my new Lionel Pennsylvania Limited set so I decided to set it up on the carpet. A little over 2 years ago we gained a new member into our family, a couplew weeks after our other dog got hit in front of our house just a couple of weeks before Christmas. Our new dog Chloe is a Bichon-German Shepherd mix, more Shepherd then Bichon since she weights in about 65 lbs.

Up until yesterday she has never seen a model train let alone see one running. I think I knew what the outcome was going to be. She is not your average dog by any means. The first time that she saw me cutting our grass she decided to take on the lawn mower or should I say the front tires. She attacks them and tries to bite them. If sees me with one of my handcarts, she attacks and tries to bite the wheels on the handcart. She loves drinking from a baby bottle and she loves to suck on about anything, your hand, blankets and the first time that we noticed her sucking she had most of her hind leg down her throat. And when she runs in our back yard she looks like a deer running and hopping. And at she thinks that she's a cat.

Hope you enjoy the video,

No animal was harmed in any way in this video, the train I don't know about. But I can tell you the engine is a dog and I'm not lying about that. Now I will have to plan to have my future layout high off the ground or have a no dogs allowed area.

Yeah I have to put my Border Collie in the house whenever I mow the lawn , he attacks the lawn mower so forcefully I am afraid he will get a paw under the lawnmower deck.

My layout is sawn out roadbed on open deck so far and I was running my new to me eBay won 1988 Lionel Rock Island northern. The track is 43" high and he was jumping up at it and I was so foolish not to stop him and sure enough he jumped high enough to knock it off. The sound of steam never worked again, it knocked all the tender wheels out but they were easy to put back. Tore off the trailing truck and I could put it back too although the threads that hold it are weaker.
