Hey guys, have any of you ever been to the DollyWood theme park in Pigeon Forge, TN? Well, I've been there many times, and my favorite ride there is the DollyWood Express. It is a real train led by an ex-White Pass Yukon Railway 2-8-2 Mikado steam locomotive. I ride it every time we go. I think it would be neat if Lionel made a trainset of it.

Last time I was there was about 25 years ago but I do remember the train.
Looks like a great experience to share with friends and loved ones. Thanks for the idea. Will run it by my wife.

Yes I go once a year. I have since I was a kid when it was still Silver Dollar City. They have a Crosby 3 chime that sounds beautiful up there in the those mountains.

I went when it was Silver Dollar City and my children had great fun riding the train. The park is a great place for family fun.
I was there last August and I took a few rides on that train with the
family. It was a beautiful ride, enjoyed every minute of it.
Thanks, Alex
I will be there at the end of the summer.

I know. My favorite whistles that they use there are probably the Crosby 3 chime,DRG 5 chime, NYC 5 chime, and the 6 chime they use(I'm not sure what kind of 6 chime they use).
Matt, I want to think that the 6 chime is a Hancock. Not completely sure but that's what I've heard.

The Dollywood Express would make for a really neat steamer for MTH to release. HINT!
FYI: Dollywood has a brand new roller coaster for the 2012 season. It's B&M Wing Coaster called Soaring Eagle. The park also has a magnificent wood coaster called Thunderhead.
A short line with broad appeal!
