Don Shaw, founder of the Train Station in Mountain Lakes, N.J., has passed away.
The Train Station has been my go-to train shop since the late 1970s. It was the train shop we all wish we had as kids.
RIP, Don.

The Train Station has been dealt with a significant blow already with the passing of David Shaw the previous Summer.
Don deserves a whole lot of respect not just for starting one of the most respectable Lionel dealers/service stations in my state for over 50 years, but also being an extremely knowledgeable collector when it came to vintage Lionel. Those Lionel Classic Locomotive videotapes he produced with David and Doug Waller in the early 90's are still an incredible wealth of information almost 40 years later.

Another note of bad news! Our thoughts and prayers to Sue and family as they experience two major losses within a year. Hope our paths can cross again in the future so we can express our feelings in person.
