How to glue foamboard to a plywood base?

This is stocked by Home Depot.

I did not see this listed on their website. I did see one called "For Projects", but it did not show anything about foamboard.

I will run over to the store and see what they actually have on the shelf.

You can also look for Loctite PL 300 foamboard adhesive.

Any in exspensvice liquid nails will work or just use caulking that is what I used.

Just got back from HD. sure enough, they did not have the type suggested by grj. However I did see The Locktite foamboard material, and they had the Liquid Nails "Fuze It" type. This is listed on the label as working for foamboard. So, I bought the "Liquid Nails" type. For those interested, I have included a photo of what the tube looks like.

Its probably fine. Any of those liquid nails glues will stick to foamboard, some just react with the foam more than others. In any case, if you bond it to plywood, dont expect to get it off intact. You can also stick foamboard down with great stuff spray foam, just weigh it down while the expanding foam cures.

Hot glue or white glue are less permanent/easier to remove.

Odd, I got the one I posted from the HD website, which is why I figured they stocked it.

Thanks. When it needs to come apart, I will be long gone and my kids or grandkids can worry about that.
