I need to glue a 2" thick sheet of pink foamboard to my plywood layout base. Someone mentioned "Liquid Nails for Foam". I searched and can not find this post. Liquid nails is available in about 10 different versions at Home Depot, but none have the exact name listed above.

What type of Liquid Nails would be the best for this use. Thanks.

Just got back from HD. sure enough, they did not have the type suggested by grj. However I did see The Locktite foamboard material, and they had the Liquid Nails "Fuze It" type. This is listed on the label as working for foamboard. So, I bought the "Liquid Nails" type. For those interested, I have included a photo of what the tube looks like.

Its probably fine. Any of those liquid nails glues will stick to foamboard, some just react with the foam more than others. In any case, if you bond it to plywood, dont expect to get it off intact. You can also stick foamboard down with great stuff spray foam, just weigh it down while the expanding foam cures.

Hot glue or white glue are less permanent/easier to remove.

Thanks. When it needs to come apart, I will be long gone and my kids or grandkids can worry about that.
