Is there any other useful location for a double slip switch besides a yard track? Which allows an escape from one track to two other tracks-provided the double slip switch is on one of the outer tracks.

I have one, and couldn’t sell it, so I’m thinking I might as well find a use for it. I don’t have any triple track locations except for a spur and the double slip will just be used not utilized there.

Any out of the box thinking would be appreciated or even in the box as long as it’s logical 😁

I’ve included a video of my MISC to aid in placement.

For reference..there are 7 “yards" 3 on the East wall outside the designated train room-the 2 of 3 are at the beginning of the video

1 in the reversing loop on the East wall in the train room

1 on the South Wall in the train room

2 on the West wall in the train

I'm not afraid to redo a section of track to accommodate this double slip switch. But I’ll need information on how to add manual throws for it.

thanks

I can't speak for others, but I used two of them to allow me to transition from the yard track on the lower left to either direction on my large folded dogbone mainline or the top service loop for my turntable.  It accomplished in the space I had the task at hand.  I thought it was somewhat "out of the box" thinking.  I started with a much more cumbersome group of switches to do the same task, and they didn't fit in the space allotted.
