I'd been wanting to try my hand at building a plaster kit for a long time, and while searching e-bay came across Downtown Deco.'s "First Timers Bar" kit. The footprint was perfect for an area on my layout so I purchased it. It arrived earlier this week in perfect well packaged condition. After opening the box and finding everything intact including the little extra's like guttering and signage, I prepped it for primer. In doing so, I broke a side-wall. When I say broke, I mean shattered. Words can describe how I felt, but I won't use them here. I e-mailed Randy at Downtown Deco. and asked if I could purchase a new wall. He replied he would send me a new wall at no cost, not even shipping. It arrived today in perfect condition.

In my opinion, that's going above and beyond in customer service. It was my mistake and not Downtown Deco.'s. Will I buy another kit from them? You better believe it! Not only because of the customer service, but because of the product. The plaster casting are amazing. There's repair work in the brickwork, damage, and a bricked up side window in the casting. It makes the plastic kits I have look like, well, plastic painted kits.

I'm going to take my time with this kit to make it the best one I've done yet. We're lucky to have small manufacturer's making these kind of kits in O-scale, and I'm glad that I support them.

Thank You again Downtown Deco.
