I  started a total rebuild of my layout two years ago.  The new "theme" is focused on a downtown and a major railroad terminal.  It is sort of Chicagoish as I have a Trainworx Chicago Union Station and have the tracks coming in under it.  But, my downtown is nowhere as intense is as Chicago near Union Station.  Nonetheless, I am having a great time filling in my downtown.  Some of the buildings are relocated from the old layout, but slowly I am filling in the vacant lots.  Previously I shared the Pegasus cathedral and the Hilton hotel.

I've just finished an office building to complete the block containing a previous hotel made from AmericaTown components and a couple of Andre's kits.  It is taken thematically from a building in downtown Phoenix, but of course nowhere near the scale of the original.

Here us the peninsula containing "downtown"

This is the building in Phoenix that was the inspiration for the style of my building

And my version, at four stories plus the penthouse

Since the interiors will not be very visible, the ground floor interiors were done with photos

Here it is in place, completing this "block".  You can see my realtor has his work cut out for him in getting developers for the next "block"

Thanks for the kind words fellows.  Both the current building and the Hilton Hotel are scratch built.  I did a post on the Hotel earlier this year, which was built around a Plexiglas core.  This building is more traditional.  It consists of two layers, a 40 mill styrene sheet covered with Plastruct brick sheets.  Windows are by Grandt Line.  The concrete block areas are again styrene, cut and scored.  The open railing on the roof line is from a bridge balustrade kit by River Leaf.
