Reminds me of that photo by O Winston Link, where the N&W train is passing the drive-in theatre at night. There are two lovers in a car "watching" the movie. The image on the screen is that of a bomber, maybe a B-29. Like Mark says, that's a great scene.
The photo in question is called Hotshot Eastbound, and the plane on the screen is an F-86 Korean-War-era fighter jet. I always wondered if Link intended it as an allegory of the fading steam age and the new jet age that was dawning at the time.

My personal favorites are his images of steam locomotives creeping down the silent nighttime streets of towns, probably because they remind me of when I was a very small kid, watching the steam switchers push cars down the streets of Berwick, Pennsylvania. Here's one of those photos:

He was both a technician and a true artist, and in my opinion, deserves more recognition than he's had outside the railfan community.
