I am having a problem cleaning the drivers on a Williams GG1 with TB+ sound. I have always used an improvised loco cradle and alligator clips from the transformer with the hot terminal clipped to a pickup roller mount (not the roller!) and the return clipped to the frame to get the drivers turning. When I tried this with the Williams GG1, though, the drivers ran just fine but the horn sounded continuously so I had to shut down for fear of damaging the electronics. Put the loco back on the track and it ran just fine, but I'm afraid to try again. Does anyone know why this is so and how I might clean the drivers on this loco without yanking the trucks?

Thanks for any help here!

Bill
