Yesterday, I filmed a rather long video of my train layout.  I set a personal best on the number of views.  I actually had 100 views by the end of the day!  Every time I'd check the count and spout out the number, she'd tell me she didn't want to hear about it.  It's been fun!  My wife and two daughters think I'm nuts....

Mine is crap, but I'm always looking for good links to layouts.  Add some links for people like me that enjoy train videoes!

Your video is wonderful and your layout is first class. You should be proud of what you have done.

Those of us who have a wife that is as much into our hobby as we are are indeed fortunate. Your post reminds how appreciative I am to have a wife that supports my hobby at every opportunity.

Don,  BEAUTIFUL!!!!  I had to pinch myself...it looked so real.

Rick and PTC, My wife gets a hoot out of my train interests.  She's the one that gets me the cookie tins.  It was her idea for me to get a hobby.

groundhog, yes, that is a Grinch ornament.  I have no idea when/where we got it.  I just snagged ahold of it.

Brakeman, I think I started the winter of 2009.  I'm on my 4th version of it.  I started on this one in February.  I took most of the summer off.  I'm already thinking about redoing it.  I'm not into collecting or anything fancy.  I just like to piddle around.  If I actually finish this, I'll run it for a while and then tear it up.  I'm already planning on a more along the wall layout.  Hopefully, I'll get started on the new layout next winter.  1st thing will be to buy real track planning software.

Now the rest of you can jump on me for being "mean".

I agree. Nice layout but too much continual camera motion. Two minutes was enough for me.

oh I didn't take offense at all.  one time i posted a wiring question on how to keep two trains from running into each other by detecting where each train was at on the track.  i got a diagram response with resisters and transistors and this spider web of wiring.  I was telling a guy at work about the response i got and he said "if you could do that, you wouldn't be sitting in a basement playing with trains".  i feel that way about my photography skills to.
