Looks like all the speeders have been dropped according to the shipping schedule

that drew me in. Hard to believe that there wasn't more interest.
The CSX SD40-2 does intrigue me. There are two of them being used as switchers
here in Mobile at the main CSX yard (Sibert). They seem to do this rather effortlessly.
MTH also lists an SD40-2, but not in CSX this time. Hm.
They must be having problems getting command control boards into the speeders, since that was the new feature.

I was also thinking about picking one up with TMCC, it would be no more expensive than buying one and converting it myself anyway. Bummer.
What will be next??
...keep the rails polished...
If history is any guide, quite a few items.
>>That seems odd; so soon. Too bad, as a speeder was one of the handful of items

Too bad.
I was looking forward to the CN version...
Don't think too few orders were the problem since dealer orders aren't due till next week.

"pilot" and it has command. Incredible. It's tiny.
Maybe the speeder will re-appear - production glitches/allocations can affect this stuff,
also. But you know that.
I have one of the inspection vehicles, mine has added tail lights and a strobe on the top. If it was a bit faster it would be even better, but it's easily run down by the train that doesn't see it!
What about the Die-Casting. Could the factory that does the casting of it have a production delay.

I wouldn't be surprised if more items are dropped. As much as i love the catalog, and my order is over 3 grand, there is just way too much. They should of kept some of the diesels for the next catalog.
Glad to see the Penn Central items dodged the bullet for now.
Instead of a Speeder, you should upgrade to a Trackmobile.
Most of the roadnames are the same.

More than twice as expensive, of course.
I suspect there are problems with the small TMCC boards Lionel is using. I bought three of the TMCC "early era" inspection cars (2011 Vol II catalog) which are offered on the same section/pages of the catalog. They are masterfully engineered to get the TMCC electronics into such a tiny car. One did not run right out of the box. The other two failed after only a brief time running. Bad electronics in all three cases.
These were all bought at the same time and the same roadname (6-28471 - Santa Fe) and so perhaps I just got hold of a bad batch, but I have to say it would make me shy of buying anything small with TMCC in it.
BTW I removed the boards and put smaller wheels on two of the cars and converted them to "normal" cars - (they are a scale mid '40s Ford sedan) and they run well on Superstreets/EZ Street without their electronics.
