A little on the HARSH side is it not? The forum is always good for my daily chuckle.
not to highjack- but where can i buy the marker lights seen on this car?
rogerpete, Tomar makes the markers, too. Go to the Tomar Industries website and view the accessories page for their Adlake marker lights.
I am in the Tomar camp. Wonderful product!

I also vote for Tomar for the best drumheads but Dan's drumheads has some unusual one's Tomar does not carry like my "Buy War Bonds" drumhead I am getting installed on my US Army troop car my Alex M.

Speaking of drumheads, I have these MTH cars that I pull behind this MTH locomotive that I swapped the wheels out on for the Scullin wheels. Which 20th Century Limited drumhead from Tomar would be the best one for the train?

The Tomar listing of drumheads should provide you with a number of different NYC train names, including of course the 20th Century Limited.

I asked because there was more than one listed.

I do like that one.
Dan's Drumheads.
Dan's Drumheads.
Just my opinion but, THAT looks a bit larger than O Scale.

Is that a Solarium end car? If so, pics I've seen, show a placecard or drumhead on each side of the opening. I'm probable wrong, since I seen only 1 pic so far of a Solarium.
NJCJOE & Chris,
I prefer Dan's Drumheads myself. At last count I'm at seven (wish I had a camera). It's hard to be a "rivet counter" in Std & O-Gauge tinplate.
If your a rivet counter Tomar is probably a better choice. If you don't loose sleep over things like that Dan's are the way to go with a bigger selection and Dan will make custom Drumhead to your specs.
Dan's Drumheads is a pleasure with which to do business. He has made stuff for me that wasn't readily available...but if he has the parts on hand, he can make it fast.
