The last couple of days have been mainly about ballast and paint on the Duckunder Terminal Railway's new Prosperity, WV scene. Previous posts have documented the modeling progress principally accomplished by master modeler (and good friend) George Lasley.
Close inspection of today's photos show that the sign still has to be erected on the Clyde Klinker Coal & Coke tipple (since 1886), and the scene lacks poles and lines to carry telephone and electricity. There will also be a small, rustic covered shed between the tracks for passengers awaiting passenger trains. Prosperity is a flag stop for local trains. But the wooden platform and steps are already in place, as can be seen in the pictures.
Lastly, I am posting here two photos taken at Roanoke of a pair of Seaboard Air Line Railroad switchers traveling light through town (a GP9 and a GP35). They have nothing to do with the new Prosperity scene. I just like the pictures.
Good weekend to all!
