The Washington Post reports that hundreds of concrete rail ties are flawed, a problem that the contractor and officials have known about since September but haven't been able to figure out a fix.

Ties that are higher in the middle than at the ends, I guess they don't want Super O track. But really this stinks because the effected part of the line is where my station is going to be.
I can't believe it's that difficult to find a solution. If they don't want to recast the ties it's not impossible to grind the surface until it's flat. Better yet, check if one of the surfaces is flat and flip the suckers over, but I really think grinding it the simplest solution.
