We went out on a day of photography this morning. Dad is writing a article for the local paper and needed some photos to go with it. (It's not train related) But we went to Durbin WV and made a stop at the C&O depot while the 'Rocket' was at the station. They have changed the consist some since I rode it last year. Two early 1900 era coaches, a open gondola with seating, a wood caboose and two Wabash steel cabooses that are their 'rental' overnight units. With two other tourist railroads within easy distance a great place to visit if you get the chance.
Coming to the station platform. They operate over the C&O Greenbrier division with a push pull operation.
Rental overnight caboose. They leave the cabooses at the south end of the line...pick them up the next day.
In the station.
