Hello all

Here is an early 1 gauge Bing train 1906-8. Germans were not building very many electrics during this period .....as electricity, was still rare in the average home ...and less so in Europe. Little engine is a bit boxy trying to hide the permanent magnetic DC 4 volt motor.

Little engine runs ...pulling 3 amps ..which is the max on my supply ...it would be happier with one or two more ...also my loop of track had been played with,by a child in a former life and needs much realigning to be smooth.

If you know more about the little train and have a catalog illustration, please post .

Thank you

Cheers Carey,

Ok, you are right, I give. That is something else! But how does it work? It seems like a cross between a motor and a friction toy. I mean you have to spin the drum to get it generating electricity? What are the two leads clipped to the track? I'd love to learn more about this engine.
