UP Big Boy 4014 is getting some last-minute instruction from the Tower before heading out for their "Employee Special" running today.

Great pictures 3Rail!
But in my experience, nothing good ever happens before 10:00 in the morning. That's why I sleep till 9:30.
So maybe I can catch the noontime express! :-)

I was lucky enough to go to the Golden Spike event in Utha and see the 4014 double head with the 844. So that train consist now has a home on my layout with its 4014 Bigboy, 844 Northern, SD70 ACE helper and 15 passenger cars behind them. Almost impossible to get a picture of the UP train on the layout because it's over 40 feet long but it looks great!!!
