I've got a couple of K-Line passenger cars that, when I pick them up, the trucks turn sideways.  It's not a big deal, but I'm sure there's an easy solution to keep the trucks pointing in line with the car.  They can't turn 360 degrees and whenever I pick one up the trucks never fail to flop to the side.

I'm sure some of you think "I wish that was the only problem we had in O scale", but it's like that piece of pine straw that's always under the windshield wiper where you say "When I get out I'm gonna get that" only to forget about it by the time you stop.

Come to think of it, one of my pieces of rolling stock has 1 or 2 "pegs" on or near the bolster that keeps the truck from spinning around.  Now all I have to do is turn all of them over until I find the one!

I would think that if a "peg" were positioned correctly, it wouldn't hinder the truck from swiveling to negotiate 072 curves.

Once I find "THE" car I'll post a photo.

Didn't the old Lionel make their cars that way so they could be more easily packaged in shorter boxes? Sort of a "heritage" thing.

It might be easy to add a post into the bottom of the car that sticks between a pair of wheels. I did that on some home-made HOn30 cars cuz the small N-gauge wheels under an HO car were kinda hard to place on the rails if they could turn around too far. But I don't see much need for it in O-gauge, unless you are doing a lot of switching with your 0-5-0.
