Today, Dotty and I had a visit from long time friend Eddie G (Goldman) from Maine.  He and fellow train friend Dennis Farrell stopped by to visit and run some trains.  It is always a treat when OGR Forum members stop by to say hello.  Today I got my official York Countdown in person from Eddie G.  Eddie gave the official 38 more days.  I also got Eddie to sign my wall.

I hope he did not find my check book.

Marty,

Great stuff hope you guys had a fantastic time running trains, another fine addition to your wall.  One thing however, being a die hard Pittsburgh Steelers guy, that Patriots Shirt is very offensive apparel, that is unless you own a Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl Train, the Bus flat car must be included, then you can wear a small  hidden Patriots insignia, On Your Back Side.

Just joking buddy hope all is well up north!

Looks like all had a good time (which I'm sure they did). I'm sure Marty is a great host. But, he sure looks a lot different in that last picture, wouldn't have known who that was without the name tag...Must be the lighting or camera angle?   Eddie should get a free pass to York with that license plate, and a parking spot right near the front door too!

All I can say is Dotty & Marty were a great host & hostess. We had a wonderful time there today.I couldn't believe the layout. You couldn't add one more piece of track. What a beautiful labor of love. The thing that impressed me the most was his catenary system. The GG1's actually ran off the catenary. From there we had lunch & then to Charlie Ro's. it was a great day. Thanks again to Dotty & Marty.

Allow me to add my thanks as well to Marty and Dotty. Their gracious greeting made it a memorable visit. And the layout - WOW!!! It's a fantastic combination of today's tech balanced by a feel for the "kid in the Lionel showroom in the '50's". It's captivating!! Add Marty's knowledge of the collecting/operating community and the time flies. Eddie and I had one great day.  P.S. Dottie even helped with some travel advice for a trip my wife and I are planning.  Thanks again to you both.   Dennis
