Scott,

This is an equivalent handbuilt resin fine scale model to my brass trains, in some cases better and certainly it could be populated with figures.

When my Model was re-finished by a respected bus collector professional builder it was decided to not add passengers. As if the factory built models were not good enough I wanted correct window Sunray tinting, scale license plates on Bare Metal foil, Lee Turner quality weathering. I’m obsessed admittedly. Unlike the toy train community the more detail and ultra real authenticity the more desirable. The factory built models feature all the detailing including seat patterns in the upholstery decorating. These models are the finest Scenicruiser models ever produced in any scale; to our fortune it was done in 1:48 like all the St Petersburg Tram Models unlike the tiny 1/50 Corgi’s that suffer from significant proportion issues or the relatively huge size found in 1/43 scale.

The following were some photos taken of another of the 50 StPTC produced by a toybusexpo.com website, now gone. They are not my photos however show a production sample unassembled for close inspection of interior detailing at a trade show for bus collectors an equivalent society to our trains.

The Model featured here is a late rebuild version and not the 1953 version.

Unlike most of our Model trains even The correct patterns are applied to the scale interior as in the prototype are done on the factory built models precisely.

As it is clearly visible here the interiors are easily ready for appropriately sized passengers if so desired

These fine handbuilt Russian models were a fluke of sorts and like many we would love to see StPTC produce a PD4104 among others however at $500-$1000 a copy the market gets pretty thin and minimum runs get in the way.
