The GGD cars are many months away, but you can enjoy a short ride on the "El Cap" by clicking the link below. Enjoy the full 12-car train as Michael Gross narrates.

After seeing this, I should reinstall Train Simulator again, and buy this set. Unfortunately, I found that MSTS was taking way too much time away from the stuff in the basement; it can become a hobby onto itself.

Love it!
Wouldn't be the first time something like this makes me ponder the sanity of a physical layout. The ability to run whatever you want, whenever you want, virtually anywhere you want, is pretty appealing at times
Jim, you sure come up with great Sante Fe material. I really enjoyed watching this video this morning. The good news is I don't have to wait for the El Capitan.
Great video -- Thanks for sharing!
I really enjoyed the video...watched it twice! I have the exact cars made from K-Line and the K-Line A-B-B-B-A F-units too!!

Yes, you do not have to wait to enjoy your El Cap. I saw the pictures of your trains on your L-A-R-G-E layout. It must be very difficult to wake each morning and figure out which passenger train(s) you are going to run that day. You sure have a great assortment.
Don't be shy, post more photos anytime, we all enjoy them.
Thanks.
Thanks Jim. We will have to look you up when we come back to visit the Chicago area. I would love to hear more of your Sante Fe stories.
I showed the video to Elizabeth last night and she also enjoyed it. She is a real Sante Fe convert. Just loves the Warbonnet.
Jim,
your post got me interested in acquiring an MSTS to run on my desktop with W7 and to
join that club.
Found I could indeed run the old 16 bit software on a VMWARE setup. Interesting and
fun.
Thanks for posting your YT version.

I don't have the software, that video was just something of came across on Youtube.

IMO, the "new" ability to control o guage trains via I pad is silly. I think this is the REAL future of modelling.
Neat video Jim.
