EMD F-Unit Windows in Rear Bulkhead??

MainLine SteamOGR Forum Member DIGITAL SUBSCRIBER

I have seen a lot of EMD F-Units and pictures of them through-out the years. However, I don't recall ever seeing rear windows in the bulkheads like this. If someone knows why these were put in this K-Line example please let me know. A prototype picture would be even better yet.
