Engine issue, NO ENGINE ON TRACK'

try deleting and reading the engine. Let it sit on powered track for a few minutes before you do that.

what are you using for the battery?

I forgot to add that I tried to other MTH engines and they were recognized and ran fine?

Put on test track in conventional, does it start up and run?  If so, delete from remote, put on dcs track and add it.  If not found, do a recover engine.  When found, readd.  If none of the above work, may have damaged board. 

While this engine may be new to you, it is from 2007.  G

I mistakenly unplugged the shell from the frame plugged it back in and it started up fine? Can you explain this? Thanks for your feedback it is well appreciated.

You might be able to decipher which pins from this PS3 update manual.

By any chance, is there either a 2-Rail/3-Rail switch or a DCS/DCC switch on the cab? If there is, that's why the engine won't be found if the cab is disconnected.

Yes, many times the switches in the shell route power back to the board.  So as Barry stated, those 2R/3R must be connected or the board does not get power or does not have DCS selected for PS-3 engines.   G

Something must have happened when I disconnected the shelf on the frame because after putting together everything seems to work fine.
