I have a 90's vintage Lionel RS3 (6-18835) that immediately starts in "Forward" on powerup. Can it be changed to powerup in Neutral? My understanding of the chassis switch is to lock it into one direction. I'm assuming that if it isn't a simple wire swap I'd need to replace the board. I have already replaced the sound (horn, bell) card with an ERR 3rd Rail sound card but have no,idea what to look at for a Neutral start. FYI I know enough about electric and electronics to really screw things up so I don't dive in without a clear idea of hook the red wire to the #3 post.
