I have two MTH engines that consistently stalled over back-to-back Fastrack switches. I first tried different pick-up roller lengths but no success. I then made some brass wipers to connect the "regular" wheels to the traction tires wheels for better ground connection. See photo. Success on one engine. But the procedure didn't work as well on the second. I noticed that I had replaced a couple of traction tires with thicker traction bands, so I replaced them with thinner ones. Success. They both now crawl through 5 ladder switches with no stalling. Maybe these steps will cure yours.
