well considering how rusted the tops of those rails are, I doubt they're in use. guess it would have been more expensive to rip them up
they might think if you run the locomotive fast enough it will make it thru or is this the starting point of a new monorail line?

So, these are too cool to let go of!! I'd replicate one or more of them on my own layout somewhere, and keep a copy of the proto-photo in quick-draw position for the pickers-of-nit who'll cough, then scoff!
Of course, this time-worn situation is another one to incorporate...
If Dennis (Arttista) could be persuaded to do a group of trackworkers...ROTFL, head-scratching, face buried in hands, butt-kicking by foreman, etc., it would be even better!
This sort of whimsy is what makes the hobby fun, IMHO!
