Erector Sets at York?

It's certainly possible you'd find some in the member halls - there are 4000 thousand tables of stuff for sale from collectors.... I am certainly seen sets for sale in previous Yorks.....

I have seen erector sets there, and there was even a guy in the small dealer hall selling assorted parts a few years ago.

But I don't think you will see too much in the way of Erector

I've seen quite a few Erector sets at York in various conditions and various states of completeness.  You can pretty much find a little of everything there.

Humor aside, best to do some research. The set number is important and usually there was a book of projects that could be built. Some had power. I'm not sure how you would know all the parts are there.   There was usually a main project the set was designed for. I purchased a (7 1/2) Engineers set on Ebay several years ago. The how to make them book is fascinating.

Thanks for the replies.  I have been getting more familiar with the sets.  We have an 8 1/2 set now which is a lot of fun.  I will keep an eye out at York!  If anyone else knows somewhere specific at York that has them, please let me know. thanks again

Most of the Erector sets will be found in the member halls and will be scattered throughout.  You will have to hunt for them.  There is no guarantee as to how much you will be able to find, but I do remember seeing sets at pretty much every meet I've attended over the last 4 years.
