It's 16 Mhz.

Well, I think 0.9967% accuracy of the baud will be close enough! I get 3010 with a 16mhz clock.
I also got an answer in the Pololu forums, apparently they simply calculate the baud like the processor datasheet does, so 3000 is a perfectly legal entry. I did try it and it didn't choke on it, but having had so many serial libraries that didn't accept oddball baud rates, I just didn't believe it. So, I guess that's a non-issue, full speed ahead!

Any luck John? I got called away for work, so I didn’t get a chance to play with it.

Haven't gotten the board yet, and I'm getting ready for York, so it may be on the back burner until I get back.

Sounds good, I did spring York last year, I’m going to do fall, this year. Don’t know which is better for deals though.
thanks

I really go for the most part for the social aspects of York, "deals" are secondary. I'll look around, if something calls to me I'll pick it up. I'll be there in the fall as well.

Yea, it’s a 8hr round trip, so I try to find a deal as well. Kutztown has decent stuff too, got a Lionel cc2 nyc Niagara for $300. Got the metal gear replacements. Nice unit, first of my NYC collection.

I hope York was good. Did you have any time on this project yet?
Thanks
I'm not happy with my first spin, and I haven't gotten back to it yet. It's in the queue. However, given that it's getting harder and more expensive to get R2LC boards, this may be a losing effort.
I've picked up one of the track speeder boards but haven't had time to try installing it in my Plymouth.
Has anyone opened up one of the small LC+2.0 locomotives (like the 0-6-0T docksider) to see if that board is comparable in size? I've hesitated to open up mine, but that's got to be a fairly small board with a lot of features. (also, yes I know its not yet on Lionel's parts site, but they have started to add some of that locomotive's parts)
The LC+ 2.0 board is too big for the Plymouth, I've had one of my Docksider's apart.
I wanted to post under a relevant topic… I hope this one is good…
Hi folks - although I joined several years ago (2016) I have not been active and this is my first post. I retired (I was an embedded engineer) and finally had enough time between watching TV and taking naps to do some fun design work - then not so fun creation of a website. Anyway, here we go. I have a Lionel Legacy receiver based on an Arduino Uno. I call it the Train Experimenter Shield (TES). Take a look at MikeFicco.net. I'm sure there are bugs and inconsistencies there but I don't think it's terrible and should continue to improve over the coming months. Note: MikeFicco.com still exists but is horribly obsolete and will at some point be redirected to the new '.net'. Don't bother going there…
Comments and suggested improvements are very welcome.

Interesting, but not that useful in it's present form. It's track powered, but it's way to big to fit in almost any O-gauge locomotive or rolling stock. I also don't see anything relating to being able to customize the action to incoming command keystrokes.
Right. It is Arduino sized. I was after controlling switches and accessories. You can customize command processing. See the Demo Video "How to set Command Matches"
So it's really not an ERR replacement. It's too big. Maybe more appropriate for another forum?

It fits in this forum, but doesn't really apply to this thread. This thread specifically discusses command options for smaller powered locomotives that the ERR Cruise Commander doesn't fit into.
Of course, if that code ran on the Arduino Nano, a package that would work might be possible...
I have to check my stash. I believe I have several minis.

I have a number of the MC-II boards, and a few of the MC-ACC boards. Just looking forward to when nothing is available.
