Attn. diesel lover!
I think some of these releases are under- appreciated. I have put a few of them, one at a time on my desk for about a week each. I get to admire the detailing and craftsmanship. I even enjoy the crisp paint jobs.
Now they are even better looking running down the rails. When you get too many engines too fast, they don't get their fair share of attention.
Joe you got it exactly right. Especially if you get one of the 2-rail versions. In my opinion, you just crossed into total beauty and full reality. MTH has done a beautiful job on their 2-rail versions and am literally blown away for their appearance.
Here's the ES44AC Hybrid, paired with ES44AC Demonstrator 2005. Technically, it's paired with itself as 2005 was the one that was converted to hybrid operation and renumbered 2010. But it was too nice not to have one in the stable. The locomotives, test car, and rolling stock are all scale-wheeled.
are we talking about MTH or Lionel or someone else?
The MTH NS Heritage model for NKP. Scale wheel version, but swapped out the wheels to Hi-Rail.
Nice video!!! No comparison to these 2-rail models. These are Just awesome!!
I have the NKP ES44. Love it. I'm waiting for the MTH CSX Coalporters. Its going to be run through power on a CSX coal train!!

That would make a pretty nice consist!!
On NS I remember how smooth the ES40DC's rode, and how comfortable the cabs were. The SD70M-2's were smooth and comfortable. But they were more noisy then the GE's. I love the models. I have the Hybrid, and the 2013, the one that was uncatalogued that came out a few months ago that was painted like the original demonstrator. I have more coming from MTH, and Lionel. Love them all.
