The new Williams By Bachmann 2014 catalog shows that there now is a EZ Street starter set. Its item #00341 and called EZ Street Expressway. It includes a EZ Street sedan, Plasticville Turnpike toll booth, a 36.5 x 21.5 inch oval and a small speed controller.  The track is 8 pieces 21" diameter curved track, 8 pieces 2.5" straight to curved track and 2 pieces 10" straight track. Price is listed as TBA. The illustration shows a dark green sedan, so it may be a new item also. This set also has instructions.

Its good to see more D21 curves coming.

This is what Bachmann really needed to do to bootstrap its sales: a good RTR set - well, any RTR set actually.  This one seems to be essentially equivalent to the K-Line and K-Line by Lionel ones.

Edit: It took a long time to download the catalog - must be a ton of folks doing so now.  I'm glad Bachmann offered the E-Z Street RTR set but I think they may have missed a great opportunity.  A set with perhaps a slightly longer oval and the Peter Witt would be a very good idea!  Note they mention (page 18) that the Peter Witt "Navigates O-21 curves" - wonder who makes those?

Except for the very first K-line Ford vans, which had e-units and actually pre-dated 'Streets, having been first designed as track inspection vehicles, all 'Streets vehicles, except the very rare TMCC ones Lionel made, go only forward: they have rectifiers installed so, regardless of AC or DC and the polarity of the DC, they go only forward.  If you have seen videos of my cars and trucks backing up it is because I had removed the rectifiers and run them on DC so they will back up on reverse polarity.
